The first half is compelling but then becomes a bit monotonous but like the basic premise and will eagerly continue the trilogy.
I loved the concept but it feels like a Stephen King novel: dense, slow, and with too many characters to remember or care about. It doesn’t help that the narrator for the audiobook is really monotone. I’ll read the graphic novel sometime instead
This book really captivated me from the get go. It offers a unique take on vampires and has an actively progressing plot that you don’t want to put down.
