Really liked this spooky short story. The art was beautiful and unsettling which is exactly what you want from horror. I liked the flow and mysterious writing as well as the cliff hanger at the end.

Beautiful and just like any other E.M. Carroll work that I’m familiar with, they keep their narrative ambiguous- to the strength of their works. Their visuals as always are immaculate- lesbian gothic horror!? why isn’t there more of it??
Didn’t blow me away as much as their most recent work (I think this was an earlier work getting republished anyway) but still a great enjoyable read.
After getting to the end, I do interpret this as a (sexy) revenge story. How fascinating

maybe more like 4.5 stars, this exceeded my expectations! a nice blend of gothic horror and grimm's fairy tales, and a very cool take on vampires
A beautiful short story. The art is gorgeous, and contributes to the story of the main character being seduced and drawn deeper into the thrall of something dangerous.
Emily Carroll reminds me of Angela Carter if her works were also told through pictures. Twisty and dark and creepy as heck (with hints of “wtf just happened”). Definitely not a graphic novel for people new to the format.
As usual, a visual tour de force. So weird, and so full of questions.
