Mysterious and creepy and beautiful, as is anything else I've read by Emily Carroll.

Carroll's style is amazing, the touches of red, the body horror, this graphic novel is like a weird and dark lullabby, very intense

More horror and gore than I usually go for but beautifully illustrated nonetheless. Story felt connected to the world of fairy tale and kept me engaged. I’m interested in how this book is tagged as a queer read - I think it could be insinuated but isn’t super clear in the actual text.

The art in this graphic novel is beautiful. The story is intriguing and spooky. I loved it!

I immediately read it again after my first read through. I'm honestly not sure I get it, but it's gorgeous and I do recommend it. Especially if you like to dissect books after reading.
