Eeeeeekkkkk… I thought I couldn’t love Amy Daws’ Writing anymore after the Harris Brother stories, but I was wrong!!!

Why haven’t I read this book sooner???

Easy read

Such a cute story! I love them!

Hilarious

This book cracked me up so many times. The different pop culture references were great, and the fact that there was some truth in the story, even better! It was an almost a behind the scenes - the making of a romance novel and i just loved it

awww it was cute. the perfect romcom/holiday read/easy read.

the writing is very good, I’m giving the book 3 stars as although it was cute and a pleasant read, for me it lacked a bit of “humph”. I wasn’t drawn in and glued to the book
funny hopeful lighthearted

Super cute and easy read!

Kate, writing romance books as Mercedes, hits a block in her writing and then one day realizes Tire Depot is the place to be! Quiet space to write, snacks, and the words are flowing. She begins to take in the cars of everyone she knows before she just decides to sneak in.

Miles the mechanic notices her and confronts her because she's not being as sneaky as she thought. They talk and start to become friends before Kate asks him for help with "book research" which eventually turns into more.

I loved how Kate/Mercedes wasn't afraid to speak her mind and didn't really have a filter when it came to discussing her book. But at the same time, she kept something from Miles that really should have just been shared.

Miles is a great book boyfriend. He helped her, supported her more than her douche canoe of an ex ever did, and told his family about what she does instead of being ashamed by it. He opened up to her and the two developed a relationship went past book research.

Overall, an entertaining read that made me laugh more than once and made me swoon too!
