COSMOS. WEED. I LOVE MY FAMILY. I LOVE LAUREN. I LOVE BLAKE. COSMOS. COKE. CAMERON. ROSS. COSMOS. COKE. METH.

This narrator was insufferably and whiney. I've read "Go ask Alice" but this was too much. I was actively awaiting the narrator's downfall.

This book certainly gave me the shivers a couple of times, and in a lot of ways, I could understand what she was feeling, even though I'm not a drug addict or anything.
I learned that I never, EVER want to try coke, meth OR heroine....EVER.
When she had done the first line of coke for the first time, the whole experience she explained sounded terrifying to me. Everything all super fast and in flashes, just everything moving at hyper speed....yeah, uh, no. NOT for me [xD] It just sounded terrifying more than anything.
Not like I was curious before. But now I'm CERTAIN I'm not curious. Haha.

I didn't like this one as much as I liked Go Ask Alice, but it was still a pretty good quick-read.

I loved the book, loved almost everything about it. So much detail and I played the scenes even in my sleep. The ending was just so sudden and quick so I wasnt too happy with thAt, I'm still processing everything and ill be in this bundle of emotions for a while now.

I thought this book was better than Go Ask Alice. The character in this story becomes friends with some good people except for their drug problems. I felt more for Lucy than I did for Alice because she was raised in the same generation as me. I enjoy all of Beatrice Sparks books.

Pretty well done, but I didn't like the fact that she spent the last portion of the book trying to get better, and not resisting it at all, and then just dies of another overdose. it tries a bit to hard to be like Go Ask Alice

after reading the comments, I realized many readers don't know that this is a true account of a young person's life, as well as Jay's Journal and Go Ask Alice. They are similar in because you are reading about the darkest parts of a person's life. One who didn't make it thru the darkest part. These books are good so that we can begin to build awareness for those people who cannot pull out so we can understand and some day help those that still have a chance. I do not enjoy reading these stories cause it hurts my heart but it is necessary so I can start to understand how people fall into despair and more importantly so I can recognize when a hand is needed.
