This is a good introduction to a new magical world. Harley is a strong female character without being overbearing. She holds her own but knows to accept help and be thankful for it. I look forward to continuing the series.

Fantastic!!!

I would definitely recommend this book!! I read it in a day!! The story pulls you in and doesn't let go.

Just OK. I’ll read the second book and hope the author finds her groove. Not at all a bad storyline but writing is sometimes cringeworthy and doesn’t feel very natural. The school girl crush is a bit annoying.

While I wasn't a fan of the main character's speech/dialogue (might just be me getting too old!) I did generally enjoy the niche/setting of the story.

Enjoyed it quite a bit overall, though some parts I weren't too fond of. Kept me guessing what would happen next, looking forward to reading the next book.

Wow. That pretty much sums up my feelings of the book. I am a total sucker for magic in books. I eat that stuff up. I really enjoyed the character development in this book and I am really looking forward to continuing this series to see how they progress. My only gripe is that the romance is a tiny bit cheesy for my taste. But that's how any YA romance is for me nowadays.

This isnt by any means the best book I've read this year but it was easy and fun to read, and the characters are likable! It gave me the same vibe of several fantasy tv shows I've watched (like at any moment something kinda cringe could happen) but nothing of the sort happened so.. here we are! Probably gonna keep reading this series – I like harley as a protag!
