This book had no business being one book. It felt like it should have been two at least. While I did like it when the bulk of the plot was unfolding, it took way too long to get to that point and I didn’t feel myself connecting with these characters until the second half of the book. That being said, I’ll still probably read the next one and hope for better pacing.

It was just so long and it took forever to get to the parts I liked! More murder throughout! Bring back graphic descriptions of violence in fantasy! I did like a lot of the characters and I want more of characters other than Bryce and Hunt in book two.

I'm an emotional wreck.

This book was incredible. It was a little slow at first, but I was hooked by chapter 6! The amount of twists - such a rollarcoaster of emotions.

I feel like the ending has ruined me! I guess I better start CC2!
