The writing style of this author feels similar to that of Alexandra Bracken. I love the story idea and it was very well executed! The dialogue is real and would definitely encourage me to read more by this author.

You get both a dark fantasy fairy tale and a gothic novel. One hell of a 2in1. My one sadness is that now I crave a novel set in the kingdoms of the Leech Kings!

I’ll come back to this eventually. It was good just didn’t get into yet and library hold is up.

I have absolutely adored listening to this gothic, Gaelic inspired tale. It's chilling and dark in spots, but beautifully written. I was on the edge of my seat and have listened to nearly 5 hours of it straight!
Highly recommend if you love low fantasy and inspiration from Irish folklore.

A dark but delightful nod to folklore story telling. I’ve stumbled on a few different Irish fictions in the last year, and the mystical story weaving is a meandering sort. I don’t know if I’d have liked it as much in print. Listen if you can!
