On its face the book seems cute and lighthearted. But you quickly realize that the issues the characters are dealing with run much deeper. I was especially surprised by the adults in the book. Perhaps a realistic reflection of experience for some, all the adults failed the children of the series in some way. Some adults even acted pretty terribly towards our main characters. I did really love Ezra though—he was fun and wonderfully comfortable with himself in an admirable way. Alix also grew beautifully. I only wish the story lasted a bit longer to show us how they grew into their own!

Had a lot of sweet romance, fun friendships and family oriented moments. There was an equal amount of attention on oth Hokey and Drama, which ws nice.
This is a graphic novel for all ages, it's a Hokey romance without the smut, it has lovely illustrations and just an overal fun and cozy read.
It touches subjects like being bullied, autism, falling in love, high school drama and what happens when you finaly snap and get the blame.
Enjoyed it and recomend!

GF is not my favourite genre, but I enjoyed this. I liked the representation of a couple in which a girl is bigger/taller than a boy (which is shockingly rare, this might be the first time I've seen it), and loved how the illustrations were used to convey her anger.

The art style is cute, the story is cute and emotional, they are trying to figure themselves and things out together, they are making mistakes but they learn from them and become stronger together.
