What an absolutely wonderful story! Alix is a hockey player who’s constantly harassed by her team captain. She turns to Ezra, a member of the drama club, to help her deal with all the issues she’s having when it comes to dealing with her team captain.

It’s a novel of high school love, being true to yourself, and a little healing of generational trauma. A must read, in my opinion!

I love everything Faith Erin Hicks does, and this Heartstopper-esque graphic novel about a hockey girl who has an out of body experience with anger and her search for help in the summer chill theater guy Ezra. A few mature mentions but this is all kiss kiss hug hug. Emotional development and teens dealing with their stuff. I liked the black and splashes of blue.

I loved everything about this except how short it was… I wanted to know how the play went.

It’s so refreshing to read something with characters who actually *talk to one another* about real problems.

The book finished before it had a chance to get interesting. Think I prefer longer graphic novels.

Wonderful!! Great story, great art. Friend groups and frenemies and just plain enemies. Tricky family dynamics and love and acceptance. Plus hockey and finding what and who we love.
Highly recommend!!

Beautiful. Antsy. But honestly the adults in this were not the best many were reinforcing painful cycles
