I just knew this was going to be a favorite of mine! A golden retriever man obsessed with a black cat woman. How could you go wrong! I love seeing a man slowly breaking down the walls of a feisty woman!

Rhys and Sadie were both going through their own mental health struggles. They found each other at the right time. I was head over heels for the way that Sadie brought such peace to Rhys' mind. In turn, Rhys never gave up on Sadie even when she tried to push him away!

This book is a phenomenal debut from Peyton and it's no wonder everyone is so in love with this book!

What worked: Rhys and Sadie were likable characters who had lives outside of each other- at the beginning of the book, at least- and quite a lot of chemistry. Oliver and Liam were cute, too. I loved Rhys’ parents’ relationship, and there were some good moments between him and his dad that I really enjoyed.

What didn’t: I wasn’t really a fan of the back and forth, hot and cold between the main couple that was going on for a while. Sometimes that’s fun, but in this it usually just seemed random. It also felt like both of their personalities changed so much so quickly and Rhys’ possessiveness of Sadie was somewhat heavy-handed.
