Trying to get around to finishing some book series that I've started. I've been enjoying this series that follows some characters from Scotland Yard's Murder Squad. This one deals with a secret society as well as the accidental release of Jack the Ripper, who we find out had been captured and held in an old catacomb. Gets a little gruesome toward the end, but it's to be expected when dealing with Saucy Jack.

I may have nightmares, but I can't say I regret reading this book. The first one will always be my favorite, but this one was AMAZING. Can't wait to read more!!!

The third book in the Murder Squad series is just as entertaining and intense as the first two, perhaps even more so. The addition of Jack the Ripper - no longer just a haunting, embarrassing memory for the Yarders but a physical character in his own right - makes everything, particularly the violence and suspense, seem bigger, as though on a much grander scale. I nearly overran my lunch break to finish it.

I have really enjoyed this series but this book was way too creepy, way too graphic for me.

Not my favorite Murder Squad book, but not horrible. I look forward to The Harvest Man.

I definitely enjoyed this book as the latest installment in the Murder Squad series. It stays in line with Grecian's writing style as with the first two books; Bouncing between the men of the murder squad and the wanted culprit of the hour. I was a little disappointed in some of the transitions towards the end of the book as they seemed unexplained and abrupt. But all in all a great read!

Just like many authors, this one has decided that his first two books in the series were successful so he is going to take the third in a cruder, more violent direction. Why do authors think people want this? We read your first book and liked it. So we read your second book and liked it. We liked them. Why change it up? Why crank up the sadism to a point that isn't enjoyable? There are plenty of those types of books out there for people who want them. I don't know if I will be reading the 4th book.
