Good but the Puppy got on my nerves.
Like girl you need to communicate with your partner you are not 14 anymore, you have to open your Boca.
You broke his and your heart.

Didn't expect this book to be so deep, like I was kind of expecting a priest who was a priest just by the name, someone who didn't really care but Tyler isn't like this at all.

I just love him, even though he is dumb.

WOW. um... what can i say. the smut was DEFINITELY there, the plot not so much for me. i didn't feel a genuine love connection between the mc's. their relationship felt rushed and unrealistic, but don't get me wrong their sexual connection was unmatched. the romantic part just fell flat for me but what can i say, i started it for the smut anyway. and in a way, it felt healing to my religious trauma tbh🤷🏽‍♀️

I’ve had beef with organized religion, and especially the Catholic Church, for a long time. The fact that this book is about a Catholic priest abandoning his vows for a pretty potential parishioner had initially steered me clear of reading it but the TikTok reviews about the spice had piqued my curiosity. This book is so steamy — mostly because there is so much of it that is taboo or not allowed. The God stuff I could take or leave —- but the spicy parts? Gimme a bunch more of that. 🔥

I read this for January’s Cliterature book club. This was for me an introduction into the world of spicy books. At first I was unsure if it was for me but I loved it.

The dynamic between the main characters was interesting and engaging. The spicy scenes never felt like too much (although if you are religious I would consider maybe not picking this book up).

The romance between the two man characters had me rooting for their love. However the last part of the book was not what I was expecting and I’m not sure how I feel about it. Regardless I cannot wait to continue on in the series.

I enjoyed reading "Priest".
A catholic priest falling in love and giving into his desire...Yes. Loved it.
I wished the author would have developed Poppy a little bit more.

3 stars for the story (or maybe just the smut?). 5 stars to Jacob Morgan's narration, top notch as usual.

I was kind of disappointed. I expected a lot more from this after hearing all the praise. I expected less horny dude and more of morality crisis in the telling of Tyler's story, but that's where it fell short for me. For all his supposed guilt, he literally could not control himself, despite his strong and solid conviction for wanting to be a priest. He in no way sought out ways or desired to help Poppy, he didn't care for her as a person. He just saw her as a sexual object he couldn't resist, ignoring all the reasons he became a priest to help the community to begin with - the repeated sexual assaults by the clergy on the community. Literally what Tyler did to Poppy. Was that the story being told? Because that's the story I got out of it.

All the right ideas were there, the execution just didn't take advantage of it all.
