mid. i’ve realized i need more to the plot than just a romance
A sexy, fun, and sweet story! Gemma and Zach have both been hurt in the past, and their relationship tests is their connection is enough to overcome it all. This was fun to read and there were plenty of ups and downs to keep you guessing until the end.
Y'all this was my first and hopefully not my last sports romance. Kandi Steiner writes excellent books. The dialogue in this book made me laugh so much. It was hard to put down. Seriously, @Netflix I have your next hit Rom-Com waiting. This is just the book for fall.
Omg this was so cute. I love how persistent Zach was with Gemma. She had a lot of baggage from her previous marriage that she needed to work through and I felt like Zack did such a wonderful job, slowly breaking down her barriers while not pushing her too far. The chemistry between them was undeniable
The Wrong Game is such a fun read! The idea was so cute and I thought it was a great idea. However, the dead, cheating ex husband was a little random, it’s not talked about often and always seems to be an excuse for bad decisions. I would have given it four stars but nearing the end I was just ready for it to be over.
this was cute, heartfelt and emotional. The premise was okay and it moved at a pretty appropriate speed i think. I liked Gemma bc i could understand her hesitation abt getting with zach. This didn’t really knock my socks off but it wasn’t bad. I thought this was NA but it was just adult romance and i think the third act conflict was okay and was resolved rather quickly which i appreciate. Once again read this via audio so rating is marginally better than it would’ve been if i physically read it. Also the epilogue was cute and didn’t suck.
This story was just fine. I think maybe I just don't gel with this author's works.
The first quarter was good, the last 3/4… not so much
