This was such a fun, adorable, lighthearted, but also emotional read. I really enjoyed it! I mean a female main character who loves football?? I was eating it up!!! Both Gemma and Zach were such likable characters that it was impossible not to root for them! I can’t wait to read the next book!
“Our past has a funny way of becoming part of who we are in the future, and I think that’s the way it’s meant to be. Without the scars, without the pain, we wouldn’t be able to appreciate the times when everything is magical — the days when life is absolute bliss.”

I looved this book! It’s really hard to find a great romantic contemporary book and this checked every box! The writing is fantastic! Dialogue, secondary characters all so wonderful! The MCs were perfection, loved their povs and Zach was the hottest cinnamon roll I’ve read in a while! I will definitely be reading more from this author!
I had big hopes for this one. Love the cover and how much it gives fall vibes so I thought it was the perfect book to pick up. And while I think the beginning of the book was great and was set up well it just ended up falling flat. It started getting repetitive while there were things still needing to happen that ended up being rushed instead. It honestly felt too long. I won’t lie I picked up the book thinking it was a sports romance and was given a reality check real quick when I found out it wasn’t
This was a good read. I felt like the characters were a bit cheesy in parts and they frustrated me with their overthinking but overall it was a good read.
Ugh some people can really do a number on others. Gemma catches her husband cheating on her but before she can confront him and leave, he reveals that he has terminal cancer. She decides that she will see him through the cancer and not say a word about the affair. Once he is gone, she decides she will not ever fall in love again. She had purchased season tickets to Soldier Field before finding out about the affair and her best friends decides she should use them as a way to meet men and potentially hook up since she does not want to find love.
Enter Zach. He's a bartender whose let his dreams go to support his family. The sparks fly immediately and as he pushes her for more than one football game, they clash.
It was a quick read and the characters were interesting.

I just finished an ARC of this book, and it is a definite 5 star read. I have a blog where I am reviewing books, professorromance.wordpress.com. If you are interested, stop by.
I was gifted with an ARC of Kandi Steiner’s book, The Wrong Game. I had been reading synopses of it on her Facebook page and Instagram account, and I knew I wanted to read it. Every tidbit she posted, I gobbled. When given the opportunity to sign up for it, I jumped at the chance to add my name to the list. Thankfully, I opened my email yesterday to find that I had the ARC in my Kindle Library. No sooner did I finish reading the email, then I was in my library, pulling up the book. I began it yesterday evening and finished it the today. Needless to say, it was an addictive page-turner.
As I was reading this book, I began thinking about my reasons for liking a particular romance book. I won’t leave that here in this review. Instead, I will post another blog post with my observations after this one because I think it’s important to think about why we like particular romance novels or authors, for that matter. I can tell you easily my reasons for loving Ms. Steiner’s The Wrong Game, so here goes.

LOVED this book!! This is the second sports romance I’ve read and I thought the story line was super super cute and I loved the MCs. It had the perfect amount of the actual sport (football) and amount of spicy chapters.
This would be a great cozy read - especially for the fall/football season!
