Maybe it's just because the red zone rivals series is sooo good and I read this one between the 2nd and 3rd one so I am not objective enough.

This wasn't for me.
The book started off fine especially after Gemma and Josh's first meeting at the bar where josh was cocky and funny. That energy completely disappeared in the rest of the book, he became so annoying. Gemma was annoying to begin with.
I thought okay i can live with her being a bit annoying in the begin but when Josh's demeanor changed, I was out.
The premise of the book was really good and I struggled through the book because I hoped it would change for the better, if the main characters were different i would have enjoyed it more

Cute sports romance books mixed with spice. I enjoyed how Gemma and Zach found happiness with each other after both experiencing troubled pasts. I’m always a fan of when the h overcomes heartache and grows from this. Hoping her friend Belle has a book next.

5 STARS!!! Even trying to put into words what this book is is extremely difficult! There have been parts where iv had to close my kindle and just sit there and reflect. Iv never read a book like this. Its beyond amazing and way to spectacular for words. Its left me completely speechless. I don’t know how I’ll be able to read anything else after this

Zach is the definition of a sunshine/golden retriever boyfriend and Gemma is such a strong and independent gal who dispite what she's been through has handled her past a lot better than I could ever!!!

Oooph. I didn’t connect with the characters enough. There was no investment for me. I actually found myself skipping through pages to jump ahead, later realizing that nothing happened enough to even warrant back tracking. - not a good sign for the plot.
Even when the climax hit with meeting her ex-mother in law… which is such a shame because there were some super cute and great moments throughout the first 45% of the book. Then it just fell flat.
This one wasn’t for me but I’m not gonna give up on the author. I def will pick up another book to see if this was just a fluke.
If you’re looking for spice tho. This one has a few goods ones!
