After the unexpected death of his mother, Adrian finds himself tracking down the source of a spyglass she had obsessed over before she died. The search leads him all over Europe and the African coast with two siblings he never knew he had, as he strugglings with crippling anxiety, intrustive thoughts, and obsessive behaviors, hoping finding answers will help him let his mother go and find peace in his own life. Personally, was my least favorite of the series, mainly because I wanted so much more of the older characters like Percy and Sim, but it is a satisfying conclusion to the series as a whole.

Its a swashbuckling adventure and the main characters mental health struggles so often resemble my own it made me feel So Seen and the way Adrians character progresses from beginning to end is so on point and hopeful.

The chapters are quite long, and the main character has anxiety and OCD, which makes for a sometimes hard to read book.  However, the character development was incredible, and the rest of the book I thoroughly enjoyed.

I thought the second book in this trilogy would remain my favourite, but this one topped it! Adrian's struggle with his mental health are so relatable and understandable, and make him probably my favourite Montague. I also loved Felicity and Monty in this, and think the time jump and the character growth was handled really well. Overall, an excellent book!
