Fuck you Lysander!

My heart was in my throat so many times but I was sobbing through the last few chapters. I cannot believe Pierce Brown did that to us

I loved the themes of hope & brotherhood and found family mixed into such a high stakes political plot. I loved the banter between our main characters, I loved Cassius growth and I loved Lyrias boldness and strength.

This is an incredible book, though, blurs together with Dark Age in my head. It has certain discernable characteristics, such as a larger focus of personal growth. But as always Brown sometimes comes off as a deus ex machina-machine. It feels like some specific events happen solely because the writer decided 'Well, they can't win now, can they?', which after all these books grows a little old.
All in all, this is not a tough pill to swallow when it takes place on one of the most epic political scifi stages I have ever read. Brown's creativity inspires, and I'm happy to go on a joyride to whichever part of the solarsystem he sees fit.
