I literally couldn't with Mara. The audacity of this character to be mad at the dude who's life she's barged in on. And to imply that he should move out of the house? He was living there for however long, and all the furniture is his, and I'm not an expert at real estate law but I don't think you can just declare your moving into a house if it's occupied even if it's part your.

The whole premise of the book infuriated me and why would I want to read about this smul girl get railed by this BIG man when she's so unlikable.

I didn't bother skipping to that part. I read in other reviews it's awkward as heck.

I’ve heard such mixed things about this novella, but I loved it!

This one did not work for me.
Mara and Liam had no chemistry and I found both of them so weird and annoying. Also who talks that much during sex? If it had been a regular novel I'm sure I would have DNF'd it. But knowing it was just a short story I pushed through it. I was actually excited to read the three short stories before Love On The Brain comes out later this year but now I'm not sure if I'm still interested anymore. I liked The Love Hypothesis but after finishing Under One Roof it feels like if I have read one book by Ali Hazelwood I've seen it all.

This was my favorite of Ali Hazelwood's novellas because I felt it was the one where the premise lent itself most to conflict arising. Finding out that your mentor willed you a house? Incredible. Finding out that, technically speaking, she only owned half of that house and her nephew, who is currently living there, owns the other half? Well, that's understandably complicated. The fact that Mara is a scientist in DC makes sense as DC rent is through the roof and she would be remiss to give up the chance for free housing! Levi being a corporate lawyer, representing one of the companies Mara's entire career aims to discredit? Ironic. Forced proximity due to being stuck at home because of a snowstorm? Juicy.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Mara and Liam. I felt that them being at odds in the beginning and then slowly thawing as months passed made complete sense. Essentially, the time lapse was better in this novella because they were forced to cohabitate the entire time.

If I was recommending short audiobooks, I would consider this one.

This was fun, very similar to the Love Hypothesis, but less complex. This is a good, quick read, but I probably won’t be reaching for it again.

2 stars the asexual rep is cool but it doesn’t happen until the last chapter so maybe not that cool.

So all of Ali Hazelwood’s men are tall built white guys who happen to be hung like a horse? Mmkay

I really don’t like it when the heroine is small and keeps mentioning it and the hero is big and muscular (and ‘big’) and she keeps mentioning it. That happened a lot in this book and the chemistry between the main characters wasn’t enough to overlook it.

The descriptions in the sex scenes were kinda weird and funny but not purposely
