So cute! Bridgerton’s version of Cinderella! Would give it a 3.5! Super fun and entertaining!

Most enjoyable read of the Bridgerton Volume 1 collection—it had me from page one. Hard to put down. Questionable behavior on Benedict’s part? Sure, but I LOVE Sophie. Probably my favorite female character so far, aside from Violet, whom I loved seeing more of in this book.

I’ve read pretty much all of JQs books but I never read Benedict’s story. II started it once but it was so obviously aligned with Cinderella, I DNF.

Well, gentle reader, I read it last night (the year 2023) and it was as disappointing as I suspected! Sometimes romance doesn’t age well. TV show is doing a good job of modernizing the characters.

Really enjoyed this. Obviously I love the show and yes I know it's not sticking to the books but meh...it's a bit of escapism and fun. The dialouge and wit in these books is brilliant and yes, it's far fetched and cheesy at times but I enjoy it damn it! And I don't say that about a lot of romance books!
