What the hell was this mess? I mean, Benedict was not my favorite Bridgerton, nowhere near that, but I never expected to hate the a**hole. He was abusive. He blackmailed Sophie, he didn't accept "no" for an answer and honestly, I kinda feel like he did to her what Daphne did to Simon in the 1st book. I don't care what you say, this thing was not consensual. The girl was coerced and pressured into sleeping with him. GOODNESS, I HATE HIM!
Let me give you a few examples of sir Benedict Bridgerton.
"He liked that she was helpless."
"He wanted her to know he was stalking her."
"He hoped she was afraid."
"He wanted to hurt her."
Seriously, is this how you think about the person you love? Cause if you do, get your a** to therapy ASAP.
Somebody please explain to me why Benedict and Sophie were so adamant that they loved each other? Why did they? Because she knew he draws? Because he had a nice family? Ugh...
I'm raging after this book. RAGING! The only reason I didn't DNF'd it and throw it in the trash was cause I was curious if the stepmother will get her punishment.
NEVER AGAIN. EVER.

The ton hath become much like a fairytale with Lady Quinn’s third installment of the Bridgertons. Nonetheless, this reader found Sophie to be quite the addition to the infamous family. While Benedict lacked depth and range, the dowager Viscountess offered great humor and wit any reader will enjoy.

I liked it less than books 1 and 2, but it was still really really amazing!

I really enjoyed this one. The Cinderella story has always been a favorite of mine ( give me a dvd of Everafter and I'm a happy camper) but I always thought it ridiculous that Prince Charming forgot what Cinderella looked like. I mean really, what a dope.
An offer from a gentleman, was a good spin on Cinderella. Now this book is allowed to get away with more silliness since it's based on a fairytale, the love at first sight factor? Dialed up to 10 here, but it's a FAIRYTALE and that's A OK. I really enjoyed how Quinn took the well known story and made it her own.

Absolutely loved! I really enjoyed the Cinderella retelling. Benedict and Sophie’s relationship was really fun to watch unravel. Everybody needs someone to be their Prince Charming every once and awhile. Also thank goodness, justice for Posy!

Soooooooo slow until the end! And honestly, if your book has the word “r*pe” in it, there should be a trigger warning!!! That was so stupid and just unnecessary in my opinion. I know these are older books but as a society, can we please stop romanticizing trauma

Reading the Brigertons books before the new Colin season in May 2024 challenge
And I got scammed ! I thought book 3 was Pen’s and Colin’s story but nooooooo it’s Benedict ( no hate to him ! It’s just well I love Colin and was over excited to read about him)….
Anyway I read everywhere (after realising that I had been scammed) that this was loved by a lot of fans so I am here for it
« an offer from a gentleman » ? Could it be fake dating ???
I am book 1 with Daf was sort of Fake Dating but I am here for it if it is
I am hoping to see more characters especially Eloise because they were missing a lot from book 1 & 2
And this is the first book I read without having the series in mind to compare because Benedict’s season is not out yet !
1815 here we gooooooo
