First of all, this is straight up the worst book I've ever read. If I hadn't been live-blogging it for my friends, I would have DNF'd it in the first couple of chapters because it's incredibly poorly written. Not only from a pure sentence structure perspective but also the wildly uneven pacing, badly researched "science", and most of the characters having conversations that read like they were written by someone who has never spoken to another human being.
And if that wasn't enough, it's ALSO straight-up Reylo fanfic (by way of an X-Men AU) with the serial numbers barely scrubbed off. No, I'm not kidding.
This book tricked me into reading a pairing I don't care for and I'm mad about it.
But for real, even if you like Reylo, don't do this to yourself, it is just not a good book.
If I wanted to read trad pubbed Reylo, I'd pick up an Ali Hazelwood. At least she knows that the first 30% of your book shouldn't be prologue and the middle 50% not filled with useless digressions and infodumps, saving the last 20% for when the five things that make up what passes for a plot actually take place.

This seems to lose the plot a bit. The time jumps weren't for me. The story was engaging enough to finish, but I left the book wishing the author had a better editor.
