As always, a great book. A page turner. Didn’t guess the end this time.
This may be the 26th book in the series but you do not need to read these books in order. You can pick up any one of them and get a decent feel for the main character and a thrilling detective novel.
After the assassination of a sitting US Senator, Alex and Bree have a huge case on their hands. Especially when it turns out someone is targeting sitting cabinet members of the US Government and that the Senator is only the beginning.
I'll keep this review simple because you all know how I feel about Alex Cross books (hint: I love them). This one was amazing. If you haven't read an Alex Cross book yet...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? They're awesome. This one isn't my new favorite, but it was good.

Alex Cross is back in an action-packed adrenaline surging story. I was sad to see it end and cannot wait for the next one.
I love that I have gone back to the Alex Cross series. This book was full of action and twists... oh and that ending!! Love it!!
I found the plot to this book extremely confusing. I recognize that this is a work of fiction but it was so fantastical and multi-layered that it became supremely difficult. There was also a great number of pages spent describing the technical aspects of weaponry and such, which I doubt Patterson's readers really understand or need from his work.
