Jotting this down as I have read the whole series (up to chapter 1037). Super Great epic fiction in a different/interesting package! Some jokes don't age well/culturally aren't ok but overall the world-building, story structure, and character work is second to none.
This is one of the most challenging ratings I’ve tried to assess…I can’t decide what I think of this book. I’m not a manga reader by nature but this one is so popular with my students, I thought I would give it a try. I can’t say I’m hooked, but I was entertained in parts. I may try reading a few more to see if I get into it. 3.5 stars, rounded to 4 for now. Could end up anywhere from 2-5.
