I don’t usually read fantasy but this one was so good.  I am looking forward to authors next book.  My only complaint is that I w at a prequel.  I want to know more about the Shepard King.

I liked the first one better! And I don't know how to say why without a spoiler so:

it is hard to rip a character from book one and then continue without it. I didnt crave this book like I did the first one, although I liked Elm and Ione so much. And i think thats the problem. We saw book one from Elsbeths POV and she was almost completely gone in the second one. The parts where they searched for the cards were not as interesting as them searching for Iones Maiden Card. Also it showed again that something was missing between Ravyn and Elsbeth when we had Elm and Ione on the other hand. I really wanted to like it more, so I'm a litte bit disappointed

I thought it was a good ending to the story, I enjoyed the first book but I think this one might be my favorite.

Loved seeing Ione and Elm's storyline, def my favs🥹
