Damn son! This series just keeps getting better and better! I was at the edge of my seat reading this! The Locke children are starting to wise up (at least their older brother is) and Zack Wells (aka Lucas Caravaggio aka The Dark Lady) is starting to let his guard down around the kids. How long will it be until they catch on to who he really is? Dark, funny, and impeccably drawn; this is THE comic series to read. I can't wait to read the next one!

***5 stars***

These comics are so damn good, I can't even!
Volume four was so much gorier than the previous ones, but it's also one that made me laugh more, at least in the first half :D

I would recommend these to any fans of Joe Hill and to any comic book fan. Both the art and the story are amazing!

In these last three volumes, things get pretty intense, which is quite a feat for a series that started off with a violent murder.

Well this was weird. The first few issue were really weird, the strange Calvin and Hobbs mix and the extremely skippy issue 2.
Also the way Tyler figures things out is very weird... This whole volume was just weird. It became a lot better in the end, but it was just so weird (especially since the show worked with the concept of dodge so much). And again, what's the logic behind the glass? It just doesn't make any sense. And Rufus seeing ghosts? Why?
I don't know, it just seems so weird. They were so close and now they're so far again. It's truly a bit frustrating.

I definitely hope the the 5th volume will be better, because this seems to be a bit disappointing - I was being annoyed with the series making stupid decisions, but maybe they learned it from the comic.

At least, now it's just the comics and the show probably "kept" the Volumes 4-6 for the second season (or they'll just go their way).

I can't gush about this series enough. I just love it! Joe Hill's writing is on point as always and Gabriel Rodriguez has the best artwork. If you haven't checked this series out yet, you need to!
