I didn’t realize half the book was an excerpt for Between the Wood and the Wild, which I’ve already read. Story is really only like 56 pages. I knew it was short going into it but that’s realllly short.
That was a fun and quick little read. The shock of the beginning is wow but it served its purpose. Spice and vengeance. No complaints from me.

So this was good a bit too short for me it wasn't 81 pages because there was an excerpt from another short story but my kindle was being weird so I couldn’t actually see what page I was on but that's unimportant I get that its a novella but it was just so flat like I didn't feel anything because the story was so short nothing got the chance to build up or to ever develop a relationship with the FMC that's really all I got lol there isn't much of anything to say however I do now want to read about demons so that is probably what my next book will be :)

it was fine, from the trigger warnings I assumed it would be more gruesome but the gore aspect was over in a matter of pages. The FMC was fine but the MMC was literally just a dude. When I read any kind of paranormal/fantasy story with a character that is non-human I prefer them to actually act non-human and not just have special abilities/look different (one of my favourite books is Someone You Can Build a Nest In by John Wiswell).
Graphic: Death, Sexual content, Blood, Grief
Moderate: Gore, Self harm, Kidnapping, Murder, Alcohol, Injury/Injury detail
