I loved loved loved the romance. Aon was such a villain, but somehow the author makes him seem lovable.
I'm conflicted about how graphic I wanted the romance to be. On one hand, the chemistry between Lydia and Aon was so great that the kiss scenes that were described were steamy enough to make me blush. However, part of me just wishes we got to see a glimpse further into their romance, especially given how descriptive the horror scenes could be at points.
This reminded me of beauty and the beast, mixed with all the Kylo-ren/Rey fanfiction I've read. I just love the trope of a villain finding romance.

I love a complex, morally grey on the darker side of the spectrum, main character. God, this book was good. I do think the editing needs more time. There were quite a few little errors that made the reading somewhat annoying, only because the story is so good that I think it deserved the extra attention. This was a wild ride. The relationship is so well developed. The ending? Predictable but still devastating, even knowing it’s not the end. Took forever to get the spice and that was the right choice. The tension was well built.
