Now you see, about 6/7 months ago I read this book and I stopped reading at about.. ehh 47%. Lately I've been in a really bad rut with not finding a book/series to read.. so I turned back to this book trying to figure out why I stopped reading it. Of course, I didn't remember anything that happened in this book so I restarted it and I finally realized why I stopped reading it but at the same time I didn't.. Does that make sense?

Basically this story seemed like my cup of tea, I mean hot, young, millionaire bad boy that owns a club and female heroine working at the club. Chemistry off the charts.. This seems like the kind of book I WOULD LOVE! So why didn't I love it..?
I feel like it was the writing and it was kind of the female heroine. I forced myself to finish it and I guess I'll finish the rest of the series.. SOMEONE HELP ME GET OUT OF THIS RUT!!

So this book seemed like a combination of fifty shades and bared to you. It was a free book so that made it a little better. There was a lot of sex right off the bat and no real explanation for it all. So overall an okay book.

This was definitely a sexy read! Looking past that though, the love story in this trilogy is wonderful. Evie is a badass that has been through some family shit with a caring soft heart! Then there is Brett, he has been through childhood abuse and covers it by this bad boy thing... You will hate him in the beginning but once you see who he really is, you will fall in love with him

Evvie starts her new job and doesn’t want her family to know and gets her best friend Kane not to tell them. When Evvie’s confronted by a man and calls him an asshole, Kane tells her she just met the owner Brett.
The chemistry is amazing between Evvie and Brett, although Brett is damaged by things in his past, he realises that Evvie is what he wants and sets about convincing her what they have is real.
Evvie’s over people controlling her in her life particularly her brothers and father, although with Brett it feels more like possession than control and she keeps telling herself she can’t go through the heartbreak her father did.
Evvie and Brett have a lot to overcome, the walls they have and the jealously they both feel towards anyone that goes near the other and their insecurities, and the fact that Evvie thinks he doesn’t trust her are obstacles to their happiness.
