This is the book I would buy and hand out to everyone (if I had the money for unlimited copies).

I found this book to be a delightful summer read! There was just the right amount of nostalgia, and a father/daughter relationship that you rooted for to the end. Life is life - it's not perfect, most of the time messy, chaotic, at times disappointing, and mostly fulfilling and awesome....and if we pay attention and focus at what's around us - our lives are blessed with so many people to share it with!

Beautiful.

I'm normally very critical of time travel books. This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub questions some things that I question in most of them! I appreciated that. But the heart of this book wasn't about the time travel. It was about family, friendship, and love. It also asked some very important questions. If you could go back to your past knowing what you know today, would you try to change anything? What effect would those changes have on your life today?

I love the relationships in this book - between Alice and her father; Alice and her best friend; Alice and just about everyone else she comes in contact with! The characters all come to life and are beautifully written. I didn't want this story to ever end. Sadly, it did.

I need to mention the cat. Many reviews have complained that the cat can't possibly live that long. But I loved it. I mean, this is a story with time travel. If Alice can go back and relive her 16th birthday, why can't a cat live forever? She was a magical and comforting constant throughout the book.

If you're looking to read a good character driven book, this is for you. It was a welcome break from all of the heavy horror and suspense that I've been reading lately. But fair warning - this book does get heavy with emotions. Don't go into it thinking you're in for a fun light romp through time.

I'm happy to give This Time Tomorrow five stars. And I'm adding it to my "to read again" list as well. I enjoyed the characters so much I'll need to revisit them at some point. That would be my own version of time travel.

This book was a really interesting exploration of grief. I really like the time travel element and the way that it's used in a very different way where eventually you realize you have to go through the woes to move forward into the next great beautiful thing.

Loved this book!

I really wanted to love this book - time-travel and "the butterfly effect" are some of my favorite tropes in literature. I loved the adventure of the first half of the book, but the pacing felt way off towards the latter half. Had the book been maybe 100 pages longer, Straub could have achieved greater sentiment and messaging towards her overall theme.

I read this in one day! I couldn’t put it down. I loved the New York setting, I loved the father and daughter relationship of Leonard and Alice. I loved Alice and Sam’s friendship. This book made my heart happy and I cried a few tears at the end. So good!!!
