O. M. G. This audiobook floored me. I thought I knew a little about Jacinda Ardern; kind eyes, steady voice, the leader who wrapped her arms (literally and figuratively) around a grieving nation. But hearing her tell her story? That’s something else entirely.

From her childhood to the chaos and weight of leadership, she spoke with a vulnerability and strength that hit me right in the chest. And when she recounted the Christchurch mosque terrorist attacks… I cried. I remember those photos of her, the headscarf, the embrace, the respect and dignity in every gesture. Hearing it in her own words was like being punched in the heart and hugged at the same time.

I’m not a big non-fiction reader. I get restless, distracted. But this? I didn’t just listen, I felt. I sat in my car long after I’d parked, listening to just a "few minutes more", tears still on my cheeks, just letting it all sink in.

This isn’t just politics. It’s leadership with soul. And it reminded me that empathy isn’t weakness, it’s the kind of power the world desperately needs more of.

Thank you, Jacinda Ardern, for making me feel, reflect, and hope.
