Started out very promising and intriguing, but just didn’t deliver the punch the author thought it did. Lots and lots of repetitive “why doesn’t anyone believe me?!” storyline which got dull fast. Good, not great. Easy listen.

First off, I would like to thank Kensington|Kensington Publishing and author Dandy Smith for allowing me to read this book, The Wrong Daughter, via Netgalley. All opinions following are my own.
Two daughters. Olivia is 13, the older, protective, more confident sister. Caitlin is 10. She is still figuring out where she belongs in the world, but she knows that her big sister is her best friend. Her safe space. Until everything changes in one, terrifying night.
Olivia has been left in charge for the first time ever while her parents go out for the evening. It will be fine; their city is super safe. Except tonight, there is a stranger watching the two sisters, and he wants to take one of them. When they go to bed, he makes his move, and Olivia is taken while Caitlin watches on in silent terror.
Now it's been sixteen years. Olivia was never found, and her family has been forever changed. Caitlin can't even talk about that night. Then, on the morning of the anniversary, her phone rings. Her father tells her to come home. Olivia is back. At least that's what everyone believes...until Caitlin doesn't. Who does everyone trust: the daughter who has been missing or the daughter who has felt invisible in the aftermath of the disappearance?
This book grabbed my attention from the first page. While I eventually did figure out the big twist, I still thoroughly enjoyed this haunting story. It will stay with me for 5 For that reason, I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Readers who enjoy thrillers with multiple points of view will love this one!

Caitlin has to prove that the woman who returned as her long lost (abducted) sister isn’t actually Olivia.
I listened to the audiobook of this and it was pretty good. Filled with lots of twists and turns. It was pretty long but then felt a bit rushed at the end. Overall it was a good psychological thriller with some cheesy writing at times.
