Had potential at the start, but then it turned out to be just MCs being horny ALL THE TIME. Every chapter had sex, or them just horny or talking about their sex toys. It got annoying after a few chapters. Zero plot basicly and no chemistry between characters. Lauren was the only interesting character.

This was cute and spicy. Another solid read by this author. A little cheesy at times and the third act break up was blah with not enough soul crushing, but that’s probably a me problem. Enjoyed being back in Starlight Cove and loved the tiny glimpse at Addie and Chase. Miss them!

He's the grumpy ex-footballer who likes his life quiet; she's the chaotic single mom moving into his backyard cottage.
After one disastrous night leads to a very public (and very fake) kiss, the whole town thinks they're a couple. This book has ALL the good stuff:
🔥 Grumpy x Sunshine & Forced Proximity
🤝 Small Town Fake Dating
🏈 A man losing every last bit of his control
Dedication: “For all the girls who want a grumpy, growly, mountain of a man to f*ck the brat out of them.”

I picked this book up as a palate cleanser after reading Hera (fantastic but heavy going). And boy, this book did NOT disappoint!

This is very much a HOT, open-door, spicy book, so if that’s not your thing – give it a miss. However, it was really well written, and the characters had more than enough complexity to bring you into their world.

It had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion and even demanding that my husband pay attention to the funny bit of a book he had no context for. Sorry, not sorry.

There is a bit of a miscommunication trope (don’t hurt me!) but it's actually well done and felt more like a realistic couple's argument. I’m also obsessed with Atlas’s Mum and Sutton’s teenage daughter – genuinely double trouble of the best kind!

I’m absolutely going to follow up with the rest of the series. If you are looking for an easy read with plenty of HOT HOT spicy moments – Go! Now!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ - the dedication says it all, oh my.

I have heard such amazing things about this book, and it lived up to every expectation I had and more! What an incredible place to start my journey into Brighton's world. Not only did I love the main characters, but so many of the side characters also stole my heart. Mabel in particular! She was such a hoot.

Brighton has done such an incredible job with the adorable small-town feel of Starlight Cove. It was very Gilmore Girls coded, and I absolutely loved it. And to open a book with such a chemistry filled meet cute? She absolutely knew what her readers wanted. Atlas and Sutton's chemistry was unreal from the very beginning. The way she flips it on us and gives such a good enemies to lovers story, after such an incredible one-night stand, was so well done. Especially between the grumpiest teddy bear of a man and the sweet, tender single mom who wasn’t afraid to clap back at his grumpy side and put him in his place.

I absolutely loved these characters. Atlas might have been known as the town grump, but he definitely had a sweet, tender side that came out in the most heart melting ways, like rescuing a kitten or caring for the people he loved. This man put so many people before himself, and Brighton did such an incredible job pairing this grumpy MMC with the most adorable FMC.

Sutton was as tender as she was feisty! Her life hadn’t been easy, but she pushed past her trauma to give her sixteen year old daughter the best life she could. I loved the relationship between Sutton and her daughter, Laurel. Brighton nailed her teenage personality so well. Arguably one of the best teenagers I’ve ever read about. Laurel was perfectly sarcastic, and I adored the way she was with Atlas, calling him “Daddy Grump” or a “lovable idiot.” It was such a cute relationship to watch grow.

I am so excited for the next book! We get a tiny peek at what to expect in Xander's book, and I am absolutely here for it. I’ve loved the dynamic of this family and the relationships they all share. Although we didn’t really get to meet Xander, I’m excited to see him thrown into this adorable family dynamic.

This is exactly what you would expect from a grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, fake dating romance! It's fun, it's light and easy and predictable, the characters are interesting and it's nice to get back to starlight cove. I had a great time!

Enjoyed this one way too much! I usually don’t read ONS/fake dating romance books bcs I find them predictable and/or lacking depth. But this one was perfect.
Atlas was a big grump with a soft spot for his close people (totally gone for that). He was so cute with Laurel (the FMC’s daughter), it melted my heart, even with Pandora (the cat).

The chemistry between Atlas and Sutton felt so natural right from their first encounter. Even during the “don’t kiss me in private” phase, it was clear they were made for each other.

The spice, the pace, the family dynamics everything was perfect.
Can’t wait to read the books about the other brothers!
