This was my first Brighton story, but it certainly won't be my last, this was so much fun. I absolutely adored these two and could not get enough. I've been reading a lot of grumpy sunshine lately, but "Daddy Grump" may take the cake. This man constantly has a scowl on his face, but my goodness did he show up for the one's he loved. Atlas stole my whole heart.
Sutton was amazing too, as was Lo. I really adored all of the characters in this story to be honest. The crazy grandma selling vibe toys about unalived me and Atlas' entire family was amazing too.
The spice was spicy. Atlas is a pleasure god and he had our bratty Sutton on her knees literally and figuratively and often. She gave as good as she got though and I loved it.
The audio was perfect. Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke were so amazing in this DUET narration. I absolutely loved this listen.

This book!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it! From the moment these two met with their meet cute and insane chemistry, I was hooked!
I love a good grump and with the enemies to lovers vibes and the banter I was easily sucked in! Sutton and Atlas had the best relationship, I enjoyed all the different ways it changed and evolved, all the tension and the way they just couldn’t fight pull between them (and believe me they tried) was so wonderful.
I really loved how both characters had great growth. My heart went out to both them, having been through things in their lives that had them weary of relationships and love. Them being together added so much fulfillment to their lives in an unexpected way.
Sutton had the best personality, I loved her wit, strength and independence. Atlas was the best kind of grumpy you could want! But the way he softened for Sutton and her daughter melted my heart. He was deliciously protective and sweet in all the best ways, even if it took him a bit to caught up at times. These two really learned how to open up to another person, you could feel how perfect they were together. I spicy…oh boy could they steam up a page!
Laurel, Sutton’s daughter, gets a special shout out- the perfectly written teenanger! I loved the relationships she had with both her mom and Atlas so much! They made the best little family.
The Steele brothers are going to make for a great series. I can not wait for the next one! I’ll have to go back and read the Starlight Cove series too-I couldn’t get enough of this fun little small town!

The Grump Next Door hooked me right from the start, opening with a one-night stand that cranks the spice up high before you even hit the 10% mark. From there, it delivers all the things I adore in a grumpy/sunshine, next-door-neighbour romance.
This was my first Brighton Walsh book, but definitely not my last. I’ve already downloaded her entire Starlight Cove series because I’m hooked. The pacing was seamless, the chemistry and spice were on point, and the relationship growth felt so genuine, not just between Sutton and Atlas, but also between Atlas and Laurel. That extra layer of connection brought such warmth and depth to the story, and I loved watching their bond build alongside the romance.
Since Sutton is a travel nurse, a small part of me wished there had been a bit of medical drama tied in, but honestly, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed this book. Overall, it’s a heartfelt, funny, and sizzling read.
