Another great Sun Eater novella! Possibly the best one yet but I also really enjoyed Queen Amid Ashes. So not sure which one gets that title. 

This one features the beloved character of Lorian and yeah if there is one (side) character in the Sun Eater series that deserves its own novella it is certainly Lorian. Seeing him fight for survival on a very harsh prison planet was just a thoroughly engaging experience!

Damnn this is much better than I thought. Lorian is one of my favorite character from the series so Inknowni would love this novella before I’ve started but I didn’t think I would love it this much.

For such a short book, this book is packed with world building and plot even the characters, we’ve got to explore Lorian in more detail and also the planet of Belusha.

This made me super pumped to read Disquiet God as soon as possible.

An enjoyable side story focusing on Lorain. Even if you never connected with him, the story works on its own. Solid satisfying conclusion.
