This book was okay and a quick read. It had an easy plot line to follow with you being able to figure out some of the twists.

The one that surprised me was Shauna's Dad being with Nicole.

I liked getting the flashbacks to what happened before and during the incident but it made it start really slow as it felt like a lot of random information. Maybe 100-150 pages in it had more information for the mystery. Overall, just an okay easy read.

I received a copy if this book from NetGalley.

This book grabbed my attention from the start and never let go. The story was told from Toni's perspective and it was interesting how it jumped in time. Spending 15 years in prison for a crime you did not commit sure can change a person. It was heartbreaking knowing Toni was innocent and see the way she was treated by her community and her parents.
I highly recommend this novel.

3.5 - I feel like the book dragged on a little at times, and I didn’t feel invested enough in the main character. But I like the plot idea, and it had a decent execution.
