I received an advanced copy of this book, which was a fun surprise. I didn't read it right away, but got to it within a month. I'd like to give this book a 3.5, but it's really not even close to a 4. The story is interesting and kept me engaged, but I didn't love the way the book jumped between the past and present and took a long time to get to what happened "that night".

The first 250ish pages were BRUUUUTAL and slow. I felt committed and had to finish but my god I’m ready to move onto something else. The last 50-100 pages were better but not sure it was worth the read. I have no plan of reading more of hers in the near future as of now.

I have loved Chevy Stevens books since "Still Missing" for the evolution each of her characters goes through and "That Night" is no exception. This is one enthralling book. I enjoyed watching Toni evolve through flashbacks and realizations that bad choices do matter. I highly recommend this read, I blasted through it and can't wait to pass it on so others can read about "That Night" and start to root for Toni, Ryan, and, of course, Captain.
Story had a good ending, but seemed like it took FOREVER to be solved.
