I found the romance childish and the murder plot boring, but I think maybe I'm just too old for this kind of YA thriller. Maybe I'd have liked it a lot more when I was a kid.

An OK/exciting read about a boy who works at a Haunted House for summer and then comes across murder. Oh my!
I have had this one on my shelves for a few months now. I was thinking of reading it during my summer vacation but in the end I decided to wait for Halloween. It would be way more perfect to read then!

Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was surprisingly (and pleasantly) bloody for a novel aimed at younger audiences. Any horror set in a haunted house (the fake kind) is a win in my book, and the details about props and scare actors were very fun.

Kind of meh… maybe if you are just entering the horror genre but it’s really not that scary.
