Finished in less than two days. That about sums it up. . .
I liked this one better than the first one too I think it was because there were more dragons in it. I am so happy about Luca and Crell I don't know what people were saying about there not being enough stuff of them together in the book. I ending I think could have had a little work done on it but she isn't a romance writer so what can you do. Overall really good.
Creel and company are back for a whole new adventure. Granted, said adventure is moderately similar to the first book in ways, but it was pleasant to read regardless.
In any case, the second book, Dragon Flight is on par with the first book. I don't feel as if any great new strides are made by the book, but that's not what the book is about. It's about a girl, a bunch of dragons, and an adventure that's basically always right at your doorstep.
I think the best part of the books is the relationship between humans and dragons, especially between Creel and the rest. There's just something about dragons, dragon friends even, that makes me smile. It's just a quick, easy book that gives you warm fuzzies at the end.
Nobody is really well drawn out except for Creel. Or, rather, the human characters are kind of flat, while we see more dimension in the dragon ones. I'm rather fond of Creel, actually, the way she's rather no nonsense and doesn't seem to care about what station a person has. It's fun to read how frustrated she gets, how she loves her friends, and her approach to situations that may not be all that typical. And the dragons, well, they're fun. They're always fun. It makes the humans seem rather dull in comparison.
In any case, much like the first book in tone and pace, if you liked the first then you'll like the second. 3 stars.

This is one of my favorite books ever! With a fast moving plot line and wonderful characters, this book is hard to put down. I loved it so much that I bought my own copy after renting it at the library! If you enjoy anything about magic, dragons or fantasy, I guarantee you will love it.
I read the first book of this series when I was a kid and never knew that it was a trilogy until a few months ago. I have to say this is a very well written second book and honestly as a 23 year old adult I love the authors writing. The characters are very well written and are actually smart. Sometimes in kids books I think things are too simple but this is a great read for all ages.
That was perfect. I'm crying a little from the end, not because it's sad but because luka okay LUKA! No spoilers, but that boy.... God I love him and creel.
Okay this is safe and SPOILE free, and there will be clear warning before I start gushing over specifics, but I did press the spoiler button, so I'm assuming your prepared for spoilers

This is a wonderful follow up from the first book, and I adore it to bits. The characters are lovely, and the plot, though sometimes predictable, takes us on one hell of a ride.
Every time I think we reach the high point something eps show up.
A conflict doesn't necessarily solve itself just because one problem is solved, and I truly love that. It keeps me on my toes.
I also love that there is sat time aside for the characters so develop and for there story to proceed after the "story" ends.
I love that a former plot that had to be put on hold for the main plot to continue, can be picked up afterwards and ended in a way that makes sense.

I'm still not over how smooth Luka was in the end with the proposal.
I've been pleading with him to just propose too creel through the entry book (and GOD do I wanna smack his farther in the face) and FINALLY he actually dose it and it was even better that I had hoped.
There was no grant gesture, no wild plan, no rage of jealousy (because let's face it, creel was starting to get a little bit to much attention from some other royals)
It was just Luka, com and confident (mostly) saying that many they should get married too. It's not planned, he just knows that this is the woman he wanna spend the rest of his life with, screw what his father thinks, and he just asks her while their best friends are getting married. Because it's perfect and they are perfect, and it just warms my heart. Bless you Luka.
