I was hesitant to continue with this book after the first few chapters as I couldn’t determine or seperate the characters well. Also, because the language being used was of old vernacular I had to constantly search for the definition of words which made the book very hard for me to follow (it did get easier the more I read).

I was determined to finish this book though. I kept reading and with every new chapter I was hooked. I couldn’t put it down. You really don’t know who committed the crime until the last 3-5 chapters which kept it so interesting!

It is incredibly well written and I would suggest everyone to read it themselves and experience it for themselves!

4.5⭐️ as poirot says “use your little grey cells” oh boy did i try to use them! but up until the end i couldn’t come up with one substantial theory. i kinda had minor suspicions about this one character in an almost outlandish way but it turned out to be true (p.s. 5⭐️ if I hadn’t have had even those minor suspicions) this was my first agatha christie book and i can totally see why she is crowned the queen of mystery! the writing, the characters, the buildup, and the way even the smallest of details are of relevance at the end, and how it’s all tied up leaving behind not a single loose thread in a book under 300 pages is a huge feat! can’t wait to read more of mystery queen’s books:)

My first Agatha Christie book and it did not disappoint. Like i was so surprised by who the killer was. Also, the characters just fit the story so well. Will definitely read more from her.
