Ok, so this book wasn’t terrible. But I just started to get annoyed. All the things I didn’t like in the first book continued until I couldn’t ignore them anymore.

For one, this book is sickeningly… enthusiastic? Like, everyyyyy couple pages it’s a character saying “oh my god we are gonna be best friends forever and oh my god you guys are soooo cute together and oh my god, bitch, I’m soooo jealous of you!!!” Like, goddamn.

Furthermore, this book did not move the plot AT ALL! It’s STILL not her 18th birthday. Why do we need 3 books for a 3 week period?!

Still not her birthday. Still cute tho. I like the diversity in side characters.

The 2nd installment of The Cricket Kendall series, Wildflower is every bit as sweet and hilarious as Cricket was.

Willow is my 'insta-buy' author who I've had the privilege of reading since Wattpad, her writing style is so easy to read and so sweet in her stories.

This series definitely has me hooked, I need more Theo, Rainer and Emerson in my life!

Ugh

A series is fine. But each book should have an issue and a resolution. Even if there is an overall story arch that keeps going. 2 book done, and she isn't officially there mates, and I am not sure what the point of the book was. They are awesome. They love each other. Can we see some action?

The second read through is just as good as I remember it. In this one we get to meet more characters and we actually get their POVs.
I feel like normally you wouldn’t care about people that aren’t part of the main group, but with these books every POV is interesting and informative.
There is a little notch up in spice in this one as the characters become closer. Keep in mind that this is a slow burn! I can’t wait to get to the next book.
The audiobook narrators did a great job once again!
On to the next!

Great Second book in the series

This was a great second book in the series as we got to learn more about Cricket and the guys backgrounds while their relationships with each other as well as between Cricket and each of the guys individually deepens. I really like how the tone of the book is upbeat, not to say there aren't problems or issues that arise but just that Crickets overall personality outshines the issues. Her attitude of what happened in the past stays in the past in regard to the guys history with other girls sometimes annoyed me a bit for a moment but it was over quickly when she reminded the of her history and trophies of other guys. I can't wait until the next book comes out.

"Every time Cas or Theo make a throw, I use my magic to make their balls shift just very slightly off course so none of them land in the cups. The most hilarious part is they’re too drunk to realize what I'm doing."
As the second book in the Cricket Kendall series, Wildflower did not disappoint with its sweet and engaging storyline. If you loved the first you would love this, if you haven't read Cricket and want a book to make you smile go read it now!
Be prepared that this book does not give all the answers! They take this time to develop a real connection and open up for backstory. Some other questions are introduced and book 3 cannot come soon enough.

I'm so into this story but it is draggggginggg. Every moment of every day is detailed, and as a result we're still only like two weeks into the school year? And so many side characters are introduced that I just don't care about. I just want to get to get birthday already. The main characters' relationship is developing nicely, and I appreciate the slow burn after the bond hit so quickly, but other than that it just feels like it's dragging on and on with nothing truly happening. I don't know if I can handle two more books like this.

‼️ Irritations with minor SPOILERS ‼️

- WHY are the MMCs ready to tear apart anyone who calls her a slut in their presence, yet when a girl kisses Theo right in front of Cricket then her and her friend proceed to tell Cricket she needs to share Theo with them like the guys share her, and that they can teach her what he likes in bed, NO ONE STOPS THEM until Hollis finally has enough and says three words? Theo says nothing to them at all, and Cricket won't even give them a response which is a cop out. Also Theo's forgiven right away for his antics before and after that moment. I just can't with that.

- WHY is Cas constantly left out of important conversations? He's treated as less than in their pack and it causes more stress than was needed. How can these guys expect to have a poly relationship when they don't feel the need to be open and honest with everyone in the relationship? Theo also constant undermines him publicly due to his own jealousy. Also Cricket tells Theo that she thinks he's a great alpha and she's proud of him and how he'll be as a future head alpha or something like that but things like this don't show leadership.

- Seriously why are there so many characters? Nobody cares I just want to make it to the birthday already, lmao.

- Everyone's acting really crazy about Cricket but I have a feeling that has to do with her powers so I'll withhold judgement until later books.
