 I read "Cycle of the Werewolf" 40 years ago, which is atypical of the majority of King's work, so i consider this my first "real" Stephen King novel. It was a decent novel. I listened to the audiobook version of this edition, which doesn't seem to be cataloged in Goodreads yet. The audiobook is well read, I have no complaints about it.

I don't know what I was expecting, (I saw the movie decades ago) but the novel was less horror and more... literature with murderous sci-fi trappings(?). It was good, but overall not the style of book I typically enjoy. The book is over 50 years old at this point and I would say it still holds up today.

If you are a fan of Netflix's "Stranger Things", I think you will love this. You can easily see that Carrie was a huge inspiration for 11.

The next King novel in my reading pile is Salem's Lot.
