Kokonaisuudessaan kuitenkin kovatasoista sarjakuvaa upealla kuvituksella.

Loved this book almost as much as the first! Learning more about everything that is going on has only intrigued me more! Still loving the graphics just as much, especially all of the beautiful colors in this book!

Shadow of the Bird is the second book in the Lightfall trilogy. It is Tim Probert’s debut graphic novel series, set deep in the heart of Irpa.

I was so excited to delve back into this series. For those who have not read book 1, this is the story of young Bea, keeper of the Endless Flame, and her Galdurian friend Cadwallader...”Cad” for short. Bea and Cad embark on a wonderful adventure across lands to find Bea’s grandfather, Alfirid...the Pig Wizard.

In The Shadow of the Bird, Bea and Cad are trying to save the light so their world is not thrust into darkness.

Watching Bea’s character evolve has been my favorite part of the stories. She was so anxious and unsettled in book 1, that it is so amazing to see empowered and choosing to overcome her fears and willing facing danger for the good her people.

Bea and Cad have many new challenges to face during book 2 as they set out on a quest to find and defeat Kest, the Bird. But, Bea and Cad quickly learn that plans have consequences that are often not accounted for...and sometimes what we think is a win turns out to be another obstacle to fix.
