Y'll even tho I watched the movie, it was so great to read Edwards side. Get to understand more, feel it more, just ALL the details.
Most Most Most read!!!!

Just like the original, I really enjoyed the first half and absolutely blew through it, however the second half was a little harder to get through and lost my attention. There will always be a special place in my heart for this series!!

I liked this book... didn’t love it, but my middle school self would have been screaming through the whole thing. So 4 stars it is!
I know she said she wouldn’t, but I wish she would write the other 3 books from his perspective too!

man oh man. this was bad LMAO. i had fun but i will be honest and say i skimmed a LOT of it. i don’t understand what the point was of going out of the way to include all of the exposition from the first book. no one is reading this as a replacement to twilight. and even aside from the repetitive exposition it was needlessly long. like so long. i don’t know why on EARTH she needed to make this so much longer than the original story. to tell… the same story. so much unnecessary dialogue and pages upon pages of yearning. and like. edward’s drive from the airport to the dance studio took TEN PAGES. ten pages that i honestly did not read. i never thought twilight was boring even if it was silly so i don’t know why this felt so dry???

Edward is kind of an over emotional twat in this one tbh

When I first read it, I only right it in tandem with Twilight. Loved it. Reading it now after having reread the full series, loved it even more. While it is longer than Twilight, it did bring in more of the vampire lore and delve into some of the other characters. It worked when I read it as the fifth book and when I read it in tandem with Twilight. Considering the references in it, I think it would be interesting to read it as the third between New Moon and Eclipse. Edward’s insight and yearning made me take their relationship more seriously. Still annoyed about the characterization of Bella as a klutz even though she’s just a teenage girl living life.

I read this because I felt I owed it to my young teen self who used to love Twilight years ago. It was an ok read, certain parts seemed a little over written and droned on a little bit. Not a favorite of mine, but I still felt a little nostalgic reading it. Decent book!
