i’m one obsessed charles dickens fan so i had to read this reimagining of great expectations but i wasn’t aware of the writers game here cause i loved this book more than i thought i would!!!

I ain’t reading all that. Almost 100 pages in. We’ve got p3dophilia already and according to spoiler reviews it keeps going for at least a decade (and the victim is one of the supposed MCs and is also a trash human toward the other MC so that’s not so great). I can’t do it. I’m out.

4 Stars cos the book actually kept me hooked. It’s a real page turner and i absolutely enjoyed reading it and was dying of curiosity to understand Cas and why he treated Jude the way he did.
I finally knew why, i understand and have sympathy for him but is it enough excuse to treat Jude that way for that long? No. Their relationship was so toxic that i wasn’t rooting for them to be together in the end.
