Cute palette cleanser. My first fully sapphic romance and definitely will be reading more. Opal & Pepper weren’t really a true enemies to lovers but definitely didn’t like each other, at least they weren’t originally convenient to each other’s lives. Their relationship blooming was adorable and I appreciated their love story.

I can’t think of anything wrong with this book! The way the love story blossoms(pun intended) is so beautiful! It’s the kind of enemies to lovers that we all like to see!!!

Cute story!!

The will thing was a little obvious and cliché but I love a happy ending so it’s fine haha

I loved seeing the main characters bond, overcome their challenges, and stand up to the people who mistreated them

The relationship between Pepper and Opal only gets interesting / enjoyable about halfway through the book. The plot is basically non existent and there isn't a lot of romance or longing in the first half. The sex scenes are a 3.5-4/5 and the rest of the book is a 2.5/5, that is the reasoning for the rating. It's a solidly okay book that is short enough to warrant a low stakes, low time spent, read.

Loved the banter and pop culture references between the characters. Sometimes had the feeling where you wish they’d just talk to each other, as it wasn’t adding anything to the book to have the miscommunications.
