I really loved this book!! Immediately I connected with Opal, she was relatable and although she was portrayed to be a strong people pleaser, I love that she grew in strength quite alot and stood up for herself as the book went along. She was bubbly and generally quite loveable. I related to her being so scattered and always putting herself second to help others first.
Pepper was another strong character and as always, I love the grumpy ones lol. To be fair she had every right to be.  Her life was turned upside down by a bubbly, shoe painting, pink haired, gorgeous whirlwind.  I thought Pepper was extremely well written right down to her mannerisms, internal dialogue and processes.  She was overall was very relatable and likeable.  I loved seeing her come out of her shell and learn to trust and try new things.

I found their story together so insanely cute, there was some heavy topics in this book with toxic family members, ex partners, loss of loved one, grief, healing etc and so the lighter, cute banter and over all theme fit beautifully and it flowed well. Even the spicier scenes were well written.  I actually couldn't fault it. It was wholesome and the rep was well done. Bonus points for the migraine rep.

Absolutely adorable!! Both of the main characters were relatable and had their own unique personalities. A definite reread eventually.

This is just white noise at this point. I have no connection to the characters or story at all.

A cute book! I appreciated that the third act breakup was basically interrupted, because I was getting annoyed with Opal and her reasoning. I did like the basic premise and liked seeing Opal and Pepper’s relationship grow. I listened to it and kept getting confused on which character was narrating, but that was on me for not being the most attentive!
