I have so far overall enjoyed Morganville. I find as they go on I need to space them between books because I get flustered with them. I'm not sure if its because there are so many or if its the fact that its all based in one town so it gets kind of stiff. The story lines have been good and I enjoy the characters greatly. Lord of misrule has probably been my favorite so far because the town has been in destruction through the whole thing. It kept me pretty busy keeping up with all the characters and I have found I really like myrin.

so yeah, I'm only five chapters in but I'm in love!
I love this quote:
Claire looked at Eve, mystified. "I think I need a guy CliffsNotes."
"Guys aren't deep enough to need CliffsNotes."

I thought this was hilarious and very true

Before I read this book, I had a look through some reviews. Many people were disappointed... And I'm not entirely sure why.

Yes, the main action was in the last couple of chapters, but that added to the suspense. Isn't that the point of a book series such as this?

Also, people stated when Shane told Claire he loved her, it wasn't romantic enough. Er... They were exhausted and scared, not the time for roses! I thought it fit very well, as he kind of lets it slip.

I am thoroughly enjoying the series, and am looking forward to more!

I can't believe how incredibly fun these books are to read. I love the characters, I love the constant turmoil and I love the adventure. Claire cannot stay out of trouble. And it is hard to decide who to trust. A fun, quick, exciting read.

The worst so far of all the book. My favourite character so far -Myrnin- has been turned into a badly written sweet-loony. Claire is supposed to be a geek, a book lover and all so clever and physics-wise. Well she was written badly in all these things. She disregards English literature (and has read very little), is a biased book reader (and has read very little), more naive by each new book and her physics knowledge just goes against the wall when its obvious it should be used.
The worst of all is that she is in the middle of conflicts and misunderstandings and never clarifies them, even when -every time- she is given time to speak, and she does not. ..... I will continue the series only because of a bet to do so.
