Oh my did I love this read, I am so glad I said yes to this ARC. A romantasy with a Divergent-esque school system but hopefully by the end of the series I won’t want to hurl my book out a window (IYKYK).
I loved the way this story flowed and the growth of the main character. I found myself hooked on the story from the beginning. It’s a single person POV so there are a few times we know secrets the main character doesn’t which made them coming back up in the storyline all the more exciting. A cliffhanger ending that has me eagerly anticipating the next book.

The worldbuilding was suprisngly interesting! The characters grew on my quickly. In general it felt very much like a set up for later book because this one was a little slim on plot and more focused on set up of the world and central conflicts within in it. Still those set ups were very interesting!

Wow! I’m obsessed and loved every aspect of this book. The intensity had me on edge with the hidden identities and trying not to be caught. This book was placed in such a whimsical setting and I thoroughly enjoyed the politics of this book!
