oh. Kova. I am mad at you!
This book tore my heart out. I was not ready for Kova to be the way he was. I knew it was coming. I still wasn’t ready. My heart broke for Ria. I will perpetually be mad at Kova for this.
Ria finally get to compete as elite and Kova her. However, I loved getting to see Kova coach Ria through those moments. On top of dealing with Kova and Katja, Ria is dealing with major injury.

Freaking amazing
Holy cow?!!!!! Jeez but this was 50 times better than the first book and let me tell you,Balance was darn good. I worship Lucia Franco for creating this beautiful forbidden story. Oh and #teamKova all the way.
Uhm so...I’m sort of devastated and ruined. This book was holy smokes amazing. Usually second books suck balls but this one was literally a million times better than Balance. Oh my word and Kova. Damn that man is an asshole (just the way I like ‘em!) dammit I need the next book more than I need oxygen.

I started this book still not crazy about Kova, then he grew on me a bit and I kind of felt for him, and then by the end I think I hated him even more. Talk about a roller coaster! I’m still heavily team Adrianna and just want to keep seeing her succeed. The drama really kicks up a notch in this book so there will be a lot to unpack coming up next! Also, one of my favorite moments of any book I’ve read happened here. It completely captured my heart

Well…that ending was brutal!
I was not a fan of Kova or Ria after book one. I highly disliked both of their attitudes, decisions, and thought processes. Honestly, I still kind of felt that way half way through this book…
However, as the book went on I could kind of see Kova in a new light. He started to open up, his softer side came out and he wasn’t as repulsive as I first thought him to be.
Ria, this girl has some major issues. I have to remind myself she’s 17 and on her own without the best parental guidance. The Motrin and B12, lack of eating and overall care for her health grated on my nerves so bad! I wanted to smack her so much!! The ending of the book was so sad and emotional for her. I really wanted to hug her but also give her a “wake up” talk as well.
The last 25% was the best part of the entire series thus far. I kind of predicted the multiple cliffhangers from snippets that came earlier. I am hoping this really wakes Ria up and she starts standing up for herself and having a backbone. Kova, though I think I know what his explanation will be still has a lot of redeeming he needs to do. I am definitely invested in the series now!

5/5⭐️ once again. I was afraid it wouldn’t hold up to the first one, but of course I was wrong. @lucia_franco_ outdid herself again.
There was so much drama, angst, emotion, etc throughout the entire thing so I was 100% engrossed. Lol.
I genuinely loved this book and can’t wait to read the rest. (Although I’m trying to do so slowly since we’re waiting on the next one. Lol)
Now, if you’ve read this, I want to know, what are your thoughts on Kova, you can DM if necessary. I just genuinely want to know!

3.5 stars overall. I enjoyed this book. The parts where they were in the gym were honestly okay but when we moved into the meets and completions, it got so much better. I just love the tension and the moments between Kova & Adrianna when it comes to Adrianna’s time to perform. The cliffhanger as well just perfection. I’ve read this book before so I knew it was coming but it gets me every time and can we please collectively say Hayden to fuck off? I really despite love triangles, so much unnecessary drama.
